Okay, I've deleted my Flickr account because I can't really be bothered to upload any photos to it anyway. I may or may not delete this account. I haven't decided yet; like my now ex-flickr account, I don't really use this account for much, but on the other hand, there are a few communities that I would like to keep track of. Either this account will be gone sometime within the week or it won't, but either way I'm not going to start posting more.
P.S. - I've also deleted my Deviant Art page. Next, onto imageshack. This getting rid of all my accounts thing kind of makes me feel like I'm freeing myself from the ties of the internet. It's nice.

On the 1st of October I'll be heading up to the Olympic Peninsula for two weeks to photograph around Port Townsend, Sequim, and Port Angeles. During that time I'll also be heading down to Oregon for a couple of days to photograph along the coast.
I'm super excited for this trip (though kind of worried because I've also got two term papers due around that time).

So my potassium level is slightly low (not dangerously so) and has been for at least 2 years. However, I only just found out today that vitamin k and potassium are not the same thing so while I thought I was eating all the right foods to increase my potassium level, I was essentially eating all the foods to increase my vitamin k intake. Oh well, I doubt it's harmed me in anyway. If anything, it's probably helped me.
But honestly, I don't think I've ever heard a doctor call potassium by it's name; they always refer to it as "K". I understand it's because potassium is k on the periodic table, but even so, that's confusing! Or maybe it's just me =/

So i finally got a Flickr account. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I'm sick of Imageshack and even more so Photobucket.

Spoke too soon; as of right now 20 homes have burned and 3 firefighters were injured. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm still hoping for the day off though (mainly because I didn't do my homework).

Another wildfire broke out yesterday afternoon in the mountains surrounding SB. Yesterday when I went to class there was that thick red smoke in the sky, but by nightfall the smoke had cleared. Today I went to class and the sky was clear, no sign of smoke anywhere. When I got out of class the smoke was so thick you couldn't see 5ft in front of you, and it was raining ash. They closed the school immediately afterwards. Hopefully it stays closed through tomorrow (I'm crossing my fingers). As of right now, I can see the smoke from my house (about 15 mins from downtown). I don't think this fire is of yet as bad as the Tea fire was though. As far as I know, no buildings have been destroyed.

I've never been a huge fan of the X-Men trilogy (not that I ever disliked it), but I saw Origins: Wolverine a couple nights ago, and I think that movie alone has made me a fan. I loved it =) The only thing I didn't like is that there are some parts left unanswered at the end, but the rest of the movie more than made up for it, especially the first half.

I'm working on an overhaul of this journal because I feel like I use it to whine about stuff a lot. However, I'm not a whiny person by nature (I hope anyway) so I don't want to be depicted as such through this journal or otherwise. Originally I made this journal to post my photography and possibly my other artwork, but I'm really slow to update with photos because I'm either a.) really busy or b.) lazy. I'm not the type of person who can sit down and write about my day to day life so as of the moment I'm not really sure where this journal is heading. I will continue to post photos (hopefully more often than I have been), and when I don't post photos I'll try to keep the whining to a minimum.

Didn't end up going to Venice last weekend. Instead Rachel scored us some free passes to the AVP volleyball tournament at West Beach. Was there last night as well for the West Beach Music & Arts festival to see Jason Mraz in concert. Kay got us cheap tickets so it was kind of awesome.
Ike hit Galveston & Houston early last night. The phone lines are out so I can't get in touch with my mom to find out the damage. My house is pretty far inland though (an hour or so) so I imagine the worse that's happened is flooding and a few uprooted trees. So long as the flooding's not too bad, I can deal with that. It sucks about Surfside and Galveston though =(

This previous weekend was really refreshing after last session. We went to Rachel's house which is more or less two hours east of here (nothing but desert) and spent the entire weekend in the sun, usually swimming. Also went to the fair Friday night, and got my hair cut by Rachel's sister Sunday night. Yesterday spent the day swimming at Steph's and dyed my hair really dark yesterday night (it's sort of a pinkish-purplish black, but it was meant to be a dark dark red). Probably gonna bleach parts of it today. I took loads of photos this weekend, but I have to process and scan them. We also did Captain's logs on the way to and from Rachel's.
Friday we're having another cookout and Sunday is Venice!
This week is going to be pretty intense, but fun all the same =)
